Tired of spending hours on hard school benches during boring lectures? Your prayers have been answered: The first PUB LECTURE is coming!
The Pub Lecture will promise an interesting evening in Café The Jack on Stratumseind with speakers who will talk about Temporary Cities.
\\ Rinke Verkerk is a journalist and writer for VARA-BNN, De Volkskrant and Het Parool, to name a few. On this evening she will tell her story about her visit to a temporary city, namely the Syrian Refugee camp Al’Za-atari. This refugee camp hosts around 80.000 Syrians and is Jordan’s fourth biggest city!
\\ Robbert Stolwijk is Risk and Crowd Services Manager at Backbone International. He will tell us about his specializations in organizing festivals. He was part of the organization for amongst others Mysteryland, Decibel Outdoor and Defqon.1 . These festivals are attracting so much visitors that they almost count as temporary cities.
